Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government Eoghan Murphy said, "in other parts of the country it hasn't been successful so it's great to see Waterford actually leading the way in using the scheme to get new homes opened up for new families who need those homes in terms of social housing supports.
We have a housing summit in the Custom House in Dublin on Monday and we'll be talking about a new version of the Repair and Lease Scheme so that other parts of the country can be as successful as Waterford in getting old houses or houses that weren't on the market back into use and back into use for social housing."
