A Wexford MEP says his offices at the European Parliament were targeted with Nazi and anti-Russian stickers, as well as 12 other MEPs that voted against a resolution on Ukraine.
Mick Wallace, along with colleague Clare Daly, voted against a resolution which condemned Russian aggression – with 637 voting in favour and 26 abstaining.
Yesterday, the key author on the report said the pair were ‘totally irrelevant’, but speaking to Beat News this morning, they claim the Irish media misrepresented their position.
Wallace was speaking to Beat News at the European Parliament in Strasbourg this morning.
"Read what's in it, some of the stuff was horrific."
"You couldn't vote for it [right]. There was 46 votes and we voted for the stuff that was condemning Russia."
"There was 5 serious ones on Russia, and we voted in favour of condemning them."
