Following yesterday's flurry of weather warnings, Met Éireann has issued two fresh advisories this morning.
A 12-hour Status Yellow warning for rainfall comes into effect from midnight tonight for Waterford, Cork and Kerry until midday Saturday with a risk of flooding.
Another Status Yellow Snow/Ice warning will come into effect from 2 am for Kilkenny, Carlow Wexford, Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal with 5cm of snow possible.
The warnings come as many in the South East were left disappointed by Thursday's meagre snowfall...

Right I get it . It’s no big deal and all but I am patiently awaiting the #sneachta here in Mullingar to break up my week and give me some sort of mini buzz. Not a flake yet. Dodging Mullingar like double French On a Thursday morning back in the day

However, Mathew Martin from Met Éireann says the cold snap isn't over:
"It looks like we're not quite out of the cold spell just yet, we'll have another go of it tonight.
"There's a band of rain pushing in off the Atlantic, and that looks like it will turn into snow across Connaught, Ulster and parts of Leinster again tonight and into Saturday morning", he said.
"We do have a Status Yellow snow/ice warning in operation for that."
