Met Éireann has issued a nationwide yellow weather warning.
The forecaster is warning of strong and gusty southwest winds that will veer westerly early this afternoon with some severe and damaging gusts along with heavy, squally spells of rain continuing.

The warning is in effect from 7am to 4pm today.
