Met Eireann has added a Status Yellow wind warning for Wexford, Kilkenny, Carlow, Waterford, and Tipperary ahead of Storm Fionn.

The forecaster says that today and into tonight, westerly winds will reach a mean speed of 55 to 65 km/h with gusts of up to 110km/h.
Widespread winter showers are also forecast, with “some accumulations of snow” in places. The wintry showers are expected to last until early Wednesday morning.

One to three centimetres of snow is expected to fall from this evening into tonight, with higher accumulations in higher areas.
