An Italian man has tested positive for monkeypox, Covid and HIV after a holiday to Spain.
According to the Independent, the 36 year old, who was double vaccinated against COVID, spent five days in Madrid in June 2022.
Over a week later, he went to his doctor in Sicily after developing a series of symptoms.
They included a temperature of 39 degrees celsius, along with fatigue, headache and sore throat.
He also began to notice spots appearing on his body.
A research paper says it's the first case of infection by the three viruses.
Health authorities have been warned to keep a look out for monkeypox occurring in patients at the same time as COVID-19 after the case was identified in Italy.
There's no evidence about whether the combination of infections can result in worse outcomes.
