A man in his 40s remains in custody this morning following a 2.8 million euro drug seizure in Co. Wexford.
Revenue officers made the significant seizure at Rosslare Europort yesterday.
A Spanish registered articulated lorry was stopped for a routine search yesterday after it landed on a ferry from Cherbourg in France.
Revenue officers used a mobile x-ray scanner to search the vehicle and found 140 kilos of cannabis.
The drugs, worth 2.8 million euro, were concealed in a consignment of vegetables.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene.
He remains in Garda custody at Wexford Garda Station.
