A man in Egypt has stunned surgeons who were shocked to find a Nokia 'brick phone' in his stomach.
Gulf News reports that the man showed up at his local hospital in the south of the country complaining of severe abdominal pain.
At first, the man was unwilling to reveal the source of his discomfort, however, it was not until an x-ray and CT scan were carried out that the true cause of the life-threatening pain was revealed.

It was only then that the man admitted to swallowing the phone six months previously — revealing that he was too embarrassed to inform a medical professional.
The patient was then rushed to an operating theatre for a two-hour procedure where the phone was surgically removed.
Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Aswan University, Dr. Mohammed Al Dahshouri, said: “The incident was the first of its kind. It was really bizarre, as the man did not reveal why he swallowed the mobile phone.”
Thankfully, the patient is expected to make a full recovery.
