One Waterford man celebrated the Déise Greenway's official opening "on foot".
Dungarvan native Finbarr Keohan, walked the 46km track from county to city and back.
The trail took him 19 hours in total on foot.
The retired principal of Abbeyside National School takes us on a descriptive tour of his walk.
"Once you're leaving Dungarvan through Abbeyside, you have the causeway. You then have the sea on either side with fantastic views of the coastline on to Clonea."
"Then on to Durrow, which has a beautiful playground that is well worth seeing, particularly for young families."
"Then onto the Durrow Viaduct and on through Kilmacthomas, and then I was very pleasantly surprised with the lovely walk along the banks of the River Suir before reaching the city."
