Gardaí in Waterford are investigating after a man in his forties was injured during an altercation in the City this evening.
The incident happened on O'Connell Street at around 6.45pm.
He was taken to University Hospital Waterford with non life-threatening injuries.

A man in his 20's was arrested a short time later by the Regional Response Unit.
He's currently being held at Waterford Garda Station.
