A man in his 40s has been killed following a crash in Co Kilkenny.
The van he was driving hit a tree on the R705 between Goresbridge and Bagenalstown in the early hours of this morning.
The man was taken to St Luke's Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The road remains closed for the forseeable future, and Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
