The man who was found with head injuries in Waterford City on Christmas Day has died.
The 29 year old man who was originally from Lithuania died yesterday afternoon.
A person was arrested for assault relating to the incident at 8am this morning.
The man was found unconscious at the junction of Margaret's Avenue and Francis Street.

The incident was reported to Gardai at around 8.40pm on Christmas night.
Gardai have thanked those who have come forward in connection with this case and are continuing to appeal for information. Witnesses are asked to contact Waterford Garda Station on 051-305300.
