A man arrested in connection with a serious assault in County Waterford earlier this week has been charged.
The accused in his 50's will appear before a special sitting of Gorey District Court this afternoon.
On Wednesday morning a man in his mid 20's was hospitalised after a what Gardaí described as a serious assault in Tramore.
It happened in the Summerhill area of the town.
