A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with a robbery at a bank in Rosslare Harbour in Co Wexford this morning.
Gardai responded after the alarm was activated just before 10am.
They couldn't gain entry to the building but managed to help a number of staff members in a room at the back of the building to leave.
An armed man remained inside and a shot was fired.
He then fled the scene on foot and was arrested by Gardai and taken to Wexford Garda Station.
A firearm, ammunition, cable ties and duct tape were uncovered.
No cash was taken during the incident and no one was injured.
