A man has been arrested as part of an investigation into an assault in Carlow over the weekend.
A man in his 20's received serious wounds to his leg and face at the car park of Fairgreen Shopping Centre in the town.
He has since been released from the hospital.
This morning, Gardai in Clondalkin arrested a man in his mid 20's and taken to Carlow Garda Station.

He's currently still in custody under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
