A man has been arrested after an armed robbery in Mullinavat in Co. Kilkenny.
A lone raider, a man in his 20's, entered a Post Office on Main Street in the town at 12pm today with what was believed to be a firearm.
He left the scene with a sum of money but was apprehended by Gardai a short distance away.
He was brought to Thomastown Garda Station where he is detained under Section 30 Offences against the State Act.
