Two people arrested in connection with an alleged assault on a baby girl in Co. Louth have been released without charge.
The man and a woman in their 30s are no longer in Garda custody.
Gardaí say files are now being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
A nine-week-old infant was admitted to Temple Street Children's Hospital on September 13th with serious head injuries, following an alleged incident in county Louth.
A reporter from the Irish Independent said that the couple were arrested on Tuesday in separate instances and were being questioned at Drogheda and Dundalk Garda Stations.
Members of An Garda Síochána are currently working with the child protection agency Tusla as part of the investigation.
