Galway and County Clare have been highlighted as 'exciting foodie destinations' by highly regarded luxury travel magazine, Condé Nast Traveler.
With its headquarters in New York, Condé Nast Traveler has won 25 National Magazine Awards.
Chief sub-editor Grainne McBride described Galway as "Ireland's alternative city- more boho and leftfield than Dublin and Cork, a place that draws buskers and artists, dreamers and schemers like a magnetic force".
Key mentions in Galway and Clare were Michelin-star restaurant Aniar, Loam, Kai and the Galway Saturday market.
In Clare, Little Fox was mentioned as being the "latest place they're buzzing about."
The article also featured a number of bars to visit- Tigh Neachtain and the Roadside Tavern, to name but a few, places to stay such as Ard Bia and B and Gregans Castle Hotel, as well as things to do- from seaweed foraging in Lahinch, to strolling around Ireland's best bookshop, Charlie Byrne's in Galway.
