A Wexford based dating app is helping those looking for love in the south east to meet 'real people'.
'Catch' was created by Paul Numan when he found himself single during the pandemic but didn't feel the classic dating apps were working for him.
He developed the app to simulate the kind of settings he usually feels comfortable dating in, where you can meet 'real people'.
The app hosts regular meetups of about 50 people or so who all share something in common.
"It's a dating application that specializes in events and these events bring people together. There's different groups that we have events for, it could be farming, it could be LGBT or anything.
So what they do is, they come to the event, there's a host and then they get introduced every couple of minutes to different people."
One Wexford man is helping people across the south east to be a little less lonely this Christmas, with his new dating app.
Paul Numan created the app 'Catch' himself during the pandemic, when he himself was single and didn't like the apps that were already out there,
Based around virtual meet ups rather than on pictures or swiping; the app connected people to others they share something in common with.
Speaking to Beat, Numan explained how 'Catch' is a great way to meet people
As the app is based on virtual meet ups rather than on pictures or 'swiping', Paul feels it is a great way to meet real people that are also looking for a relationship.
"About 50 people attend each event, You have that relaxed setting but also you have that added function where you can chat after to the people you liked. So , there's that added in app communication as well."
