Protesters opposed to water charges have gathered at 30 locations across the country.
Demonstrations are underway in 21 counties, with the largest in Dublin.
The Right2Water Campaign, which is organising the demonstrations, says it wants to keep the issue on the agenda ahead of the General Election.
In the South East there were rallys in Waterford, Carlow, Clonmel, Wexford and Gorey.
