Lisa Smith is due to appear in court this morning.
It's understood the Dunwalk woman has been charged with terror offences relating to her time living with the so-called Islamic State.
She was arrested on Sunday after she arrived in Ireland having been deported from Turkey with her two-year-old daughter.
Lisa Smith was questioned at Kevin Street Garda Station for the last three days.
