The Food Safety Authority has issued a recall notice for popular pork products in the lead up to Christmas.
Two different variations of Irish Ham Fillets with specific barcodes are being recalled.
Smoked 100% Irish Ham Fillet and Unsmoked 100% Irish Ham Fillet are being recalled from Lidl stores by Callan Bacon Ltd.
Customers are being advised to take extra care and double check the product packaging if they have bought either of the ham fillets recently as all use by dates are effected.
The FSAI say the recall is due to 'incorrect boiling instructions detailed on the label'.
Lidl say that their 'customer safety is paramount'.
In a statement online, the supermarket giant has said: 'We have stringent procedures in place to ensure only the best quality and safest products reach our customers.
"However, unfortunately from time to time an issue may arise with a product.
"When this happens, Lidl is proactive in taking action to remove the affected product from our shelves and inform our customers.
"We work closely with the relevant Authorities to ensure we take the appropriate actions necessary to ensure our customer safety.'
