Over 2,000 new living dwellings were constructed in the South-East last year.
That's according to data released today by the CSO, which shows that Wexford had the highest amount of new builds, with 707 constructed in the Model County in 2021.
The Enniscorthy Local Electoral area saw the largest amount with 264, while Wexford town saw 253 builds.
That's a contrast to Kilkenny, who saw just 244 new builds last year.
The county of Carlow saw 336 new homes built, however, just eight of these were constructed in Bagenalstown.
509 units were built in Waterford, with 426 in the city - the largest of any LEA in the region - 62 in Dungarvan and 21 in Kilmacthomas.
In total over 20,400 new homes were completed in 2021, which is a slight drop on the figure for 2020.
The 10 areas with the most homes built last year were in Dublin, Kildare and Meath.
