Gardaí recently stopped a driver for speeding in Waterford and discovered a number of offences.
While out on patrol, Waterford Roads Policing Unit detected a driver speeding at 136km per hour in a 100km per hour zone in the county.
Gardaí stopped the black Seat Ibiza and discovered that the driver was a learner driver, who was unaccompanied by a fully licensed driver.
On further inspection, officers also discovered that the driver has no 'L' plates on display while the tax had also expired on the vehicle.
Gardaí say that "proceedings" have commenced.
