A public meeting is to be held tonight looking to tackle Childcare costs
The event is being organsied by the Labour Party in Kilkenny City
Seán Ó hArgáin is the Local party chairperson.
He tells Beat News whats happening tonight
"Well this is the start of the local part of what is a National campaign that the Labour Party is running highlighting issues arising childcare.
As we all know the cost of Childcare are one of the biggest burdens, particularly on young families, but I suppose we're focusing on early years education, pre-school education and childminding as a sector"
"Anyone can attend, any citizen who's concerned about the situation in pre-school education & childcare.
It's free to attend.
We'd welcome anybody with an interest in the area.
We'd particularly like to see childcare professionals who work in the area, people who operate either private or community pre-schools in the area, people who are childminders who are in that sector but in particular parents."
