A learner driver has had their car seized by Gardaí for driving unaccompanied in County Waterford.
Gardaí in the Waterford Roads Policing Unit were operating a checkpoint when the L plate driver turned from the checkpoint.
The driver was stopped and Gardaí discovered that he was an unaccompanied learner.
Gardai seized the car proceedings are to follow.

Elsewhere in the county of Waterford, Gardaí were operating a separate checkpoint when they stopped a taxi with a defective front tyre recently.
A fine was handed to the taxi driver who had to change their tyre before proceeding on their journey.
