Kilkenny has claimed a top spot in a national food competition.
The Marble City claimed third place in The Foodie Destination Awards 2017.
West Waterford also made it into the Top 10 coming in at fifth place.
West Cork came out on top and was named as the premier food destination in Ireland.

The awards involved a lengthy process involving judging visits and an online voting campaign.
The aim of the award is to acknowledge local growers, restaurateurs and the local authority who ensure to deliver superb products and dining experiences to visitors.

Adrian Cummins, Chief Executive of the Restaurant Association of Ireland explains what impact the awards will have on Kilkenny and West Waterford:
"If you're in the Top 10 of the competition, you are on the radar for the year ahead, you can use it in your marketing promotion material. Whether you're first or tenth it doesn't really matter because you are in the Top 10 in Ireland and that is a huge achievement.
"There was huge competition this year and it's a huge achievement for the South East for Kilkenny to come third and for Waterford to come fifth".
