Kilkenny Tradfest has announced it's program for the 2017 festival.
The three day event, which celebrates Irish traditional music, will take place over the St. Patrick's Day weekend this year.
The festival's managing director Marion Flannery spoke to Beat News to explain what to expect over the weekend.
"We have an amazing programme lined up this year. It's our fifth year of the festival and takes place from the 16th to the 19th of March", she explained.
"There is a huge amount for people to do here in Kilkenny over the Patrick's weekend", she said.
"There's music galore. There's lots of free gigs with over seventy gigs happening accross the city's bars and hotels".
"We have many headline acts which people can get tickets for. We are delighted to announce that our main headline act is Paul Brady and he is playing in St. Canice's Cathedral on Thursday 16th March".
"We also have lots of workshops going on for music enthusiasts, and they're all being held in Kilkenny castle."
Marion explained that the demand for tickets will be very high for the event.
"People should get online and book their tickets as soon as they can."
