Ireland's longest over-water zipline has officially been launched in the South East.Castlecomer Discovery Park in Kilkenny officially unveiled the new 300 metre long zipline as well as two high-ropes courses this morning.
The zipline and high-ropes course is the newest attraction to Ireland's Ancient East experience, and was officially launched by Kilkenny hurling manager Brian Cody.
General Manager Liz Nolan told Beat News it's also given a jobs boost to the local area:
"Two months ago, we recruited an addition team of 15 outdoor activity instructors as well as an outdoor activity manager in Aidan Doran, a local man.
"It's very exciting for us because it means we're able to develop more outdoor activity programmes, and that means better quality and a different offering for our visitors, locals and tourists"
