The Irish Defence Forces will host an information and career event in Kilkenny on 3rd of April.
The event, taking place from 14:30 to 16:30, is designed to provide information as well as specific details on training and advice on preparation for prospective candidates.
Steve Byrne is Leftenant at Stephen's Barracks in Kilkenny.
He spoke to Beat News about who should attend the event.

"Anyone between the ages of 18-24 who has an interest in an active or outdoor career would be ideal."
"Also people who are interested in a career in the Defence Forces and those who have a university degree between 23 and 27 and have third-level experience would be encouraged as well."
