A motorist has been arrested after Gardaí caught them travelling over well over the speed limit on the M9 motorway.
While on patrol today, Kilkenny Roads Policing Unit was conducting speed checks on the busy road.
Gardaí detected an Audi driver going 201 kilometers per hour, with the highest speed you can travel on the road being 120km per hour.
The driver was arrested and charged with dangerous driving, due to the high speed.
The motorist will also appear in the District Court in the coming weeks.
Gardaí took to Twitter to urge people to slow down:
