A Kilkenny B&B is celebrating this week after being crowned the best Bed and Breakfast in Ireland.
Springview Farmhouse based in Urlingford was the only nominee in the South East
They beat 9 finalists from around the country to clinch the top prize
Eileen Joyce runs the B & B, she explains who would normally stay with them
"Up until this year, about 70% of my business would have been American.
This year I'm finding I'm having more French than I ever had.
There's probably more French in the country, American, German. Not that many Irish.
The most Irish I'd have would be people coming on holidays visiting friends etc."
She says it was great to win the award
"Well, of course, it was, the most unexpected win ever.
The competition was keen.
We were told there was about 19 eligible for the prize.
It's a fantastic prize.
It's the most beautiful piece of Waterford Crystal and it's something I'll treasure"
