A juvenile was assaulted in Co. Waterford at 12:30am this morning.
The incident happened in Childers Estate in Dungarvan.
The injured boy was taken to University Hospital Waterford.
The boy remains in hospital this evening.

Another juvenile - also male - is in custody in Dungarvan Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
