The brother of Ireland's longest missing person says he hasn't given up hope of getting closure on the case.

It's comes on the 74th anniversary of the Waterford teenager's disappearance.

16-year-old Jimmy O'Neill lived in Leamy Street in Waterford City.

He worked for Clyde Shipping Company, but on December 15th, 1947, his younger brother, Frank, says he vanished without trace.

An S-O-S for the Waterford teen was placed in the local newspapers, to no avail.

Frank says he may have got a boat to Liverpool, but isn't certain.

If Jimmy was alive now, he'd be 90, while Frank is 78.

Jimmy is one of 876 long-term missing people on the island of Ireland.
