A jobs boost for the South East is expected to be announced in the coming days.
Two companies are said to be interested in investing in the Lisheen Mines area in Tipperary.
Speaking with the Tipperary Star, Councillor John Hogan said that investment could create up to 40 jobs for the area.
The Lisheen mines were closed earlier this year after 17 years in existance.
