Insurance companies urged to prioritise farmers hit by Storm Emma

Insurance companies are being urged to prioritise farmers who've been hit by storm Emma.

The Agriculture Minister Michael Creed says it's vital for the sector that they're not left waiting for compensation.

The bill for the cleanup operation is expected to cost millions of Euro.

Minister Creed claims payments need to be made as soon as possible, saying "you know particularly in a milking parlour infrastructure which at this time of year is abundantly clear that's critical.
