The Irish Nurses & Midwives Organisation (INMO) is to call on its members to accept the Labour Court's recommendations subject to negotiations.
Members of the INMO strike committee gathered for a private meeting at 2pm this afternoon where they discussed the recommendations that saw three days of strike action postponed this week.
It is believed the proposals, which are wide-ranging, include pay increases of between 2.5% and 7%.
Members will be balloted on the proposals in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Siptu members have voted to accept an agreement between union representatives and the management of Rapid Action Packaging (RAP) on recognition, pay and grade structure for hourly paid employees at the company’s plant in Gweedore, county Donegal.
The agreement recognises the right of Siptu to represent employees at the plant. The agreement also contains a three year pay deal which will provide for a 6% increase in basic pay over the three years.
More to follow.
