Hundreds of people have signed a petition to get abortion services introduced at St Luke's Hospital for Carlow/Kilkenny.
Carlow is one of just four counties where no GP has so far signed up to provide an abortion service.
It has led to a situation where women with crisis pregnancies will once again have to travel out of the county for an abortion.
The news has prompted two petitions in the county.
