It's been a busy day so far for Rescue 117.
The Waterford based Coastguard helicopter responded to two incidents.
70 nautical miles off the South East coast, a fishing trawlers emergency beacon was transmitting.
It was picked up by satellites and MRCC Dublin requested Rescue 117 attend to the trawler.
No danger was found as the call was found to be a false alarm.
Later in the morning, 16th January 2019, the South East Coastguard helicopter airlifted a hiker, who fell on Coumshingaun, to Waterford airport after sustaining a leg injury.
