It's understood a Kilkenny hotel refused to let a couple bring their guide dog to the premises because it goes against company policy.
Kevin Ryan told Joe Duffy on Liveline that him and his partner - who is blind - had booked a night away at the Kilkenny House Hotel.
When he contacted them to confirm his booking and inform them about the guide dog, the manager told him they couldn't bring their service dog, because the hotel has a strict no animals policy.
Kevin and his partner were forced to cancel their booking and arrange alternative accommodation in the marble city.
