Gardai have issued a warning that drivers who avoid checkpoints will be caught.
The warning comes after motorists were caught in Waterford and Wexford this week attempting to dodge officers on traffic duty.
In Waterford, a driver tried to avoid a checkpoint by pulling into a car park.
The vehicle was spotted by Gardai and when they caught up with it, it emerged the driver had no insurance, tax or NCT.
The driver will appear in court at a later date.
