It's a major pet peeve for many drivers and it seems the Gardai are sick of it too.
Three drivers had fines issued in Cork yesterday for attempting to skip traffic queues by driving in the hard shoulder.
Traffic Gardai were positioned at the Dunkettle Interchange in Cork when they spotted the drivers.
