Gardaí are seeking witnesses to two alleged assaults in Kilkenny City over the weekend.
A man in his 20s was attacked by four males shortly after midnight on Friday night on The Parade.
The man received a number of punches to the face resulting in cuts and bruising.
The suspects fled on foot into the grounds of Kilkenny Castle and the man was treated for his injuries at St Luke’s Hospital.

A second alleged assault occurred at The Parade in the early hours of Saturday morning.
A man in his late teens was approached by a group of men and received a number of punches to the head.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance and suffered a fractured jaw.
Gardaí are appealing to any witnesses to contact Kilkenny Garda Station.
