Gardai are investigating a suspicious house fire which happened in Co. Waterford in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at Ardmore Park in Ballybeg at 3.20am after a person at the house heard a noise and discovered one of the rooms was on fire.
The person was the only occupant in the house at the time and extensive damage has been caused to the building.
Two appliances from Waterford City attended the blaze until around 6.00am.

Gardai are carrying out a technical examination of the scene.
