Gardaí in Carlow are investigating the discovery of a body in a residential area of Carlow town.
The body of a man in his forties was discovered shortly after 9 am on Tuesday in Graiguecullen.
The death is not currently being viewed as suspicious, but gardaí are investigating all possible circumstances behind the cause of death.
His body has been removed to University Hospital Waterford for a postmortem examination.
