An investigation is underway in Waterford after a woman woke up to three masked men in her home.
It happened on Thursday last at a premises off Penrose Lane, Waterford City.
At about 6am, the woman who's in her mid-thirties, says she woke up to three unknown men in her room.
They had their faces covered and one of them was carrying a knife as a weapon.
They didn't harm her but left her home with €500 in cash.
The woman reported the incident to Gardaí and the scene was examined by a forensics team.
Gardaí are treating the incident as an aggravated burglary and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
They're particularly eager to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the Penrose Lane/O'Connell Street area from between 5.30 and 7am last Thursday morning.
