Gardaí in Waterford are investigating a robbery in the city at the weekend.
Garvey's Off Licence on the Ballytruckle Road was the target yesterday evening at around 8:50pm.
Gardaí say that Five individuals entered the off-license; it's believed one individual was brandishing a hammer.
Another was in possession with what appeared to be an imitation handgun.
The hammer was used by a male to threaten a staff member, who then proceeded to take a quantity of alcohol, Amber Leaf tobacco and a small quantity of cash.
One bottle of alcohol was also broken on the ground; the individuals then left the off-license and proceeded towards the Folly on foot.
Waterford Gardaí are seeking witnesses to the event or anyone who may have information on the crime.
