Gardaí have urged motorists not to park in disabled bays without a permit following a recent incident in Waterford city
On Wednesday last a motorist was found to have parked in a disabled bay without a valid disabled driver's badge.
The navy Nissan Note was seen parked illegally by gardaí while on patrol parked outside Waterford's iconic Thomas Maher pub.
Gardaí issued a charge penalty notice to the driver.

In a separate incident in Carlow, a disqualified motorist had their vehicle seized when they were initially stopped for driving without wearing a seatbelt.
When stopped, gardaí learned from their mobility app that the driver had previously been disqualified from driving.
Proceedings are to follow.
Carlow Roads Policing Unit stopped this motorist when they were found not wearing a seatbelt. Using the #MobilityApp, it was found that the driver had been disqualified.
