Gardaí have arrested a man found with a gun in Co. Kildare, who is believed to have been planning to commit a robbery.
The man in his 20s was arrested in Brownstown yesterday as part of Operation Thor.
Gardaí on patrol said they observed a man with a concealed item.
They searched him and found the gun.

He is currently detained at Kildare Town Garda Station where he can be held for up to 24 hours, and investigations are continuing.
