Gardai are again appealing for information over the stabbing death of a man in his 30's on the Carlow/Wicklow border.
A woman in her 20s and a man in his 30s have been questioned in connection with the death, which happened at a house in Shillelagh on Thursday night.
Local Councillor Brian O'Donoghue says it's a very sad time for the whole community.
"The Gardaí are obviously still conducting their investigation, and obviously our thoughts and prayers are with the families affected, this is a very sad time.
"Ballyconnell is such a tiny, quiet little village - it really just comprises of the national school, the church, the community hall and the housing estate.
"It's renowned for being so quiet and perfect in so many ways, and the sense of shock around the general locality is palpable."
